We getting to the space Marvel now people and I love it.. This movie came out in 2014 when I was 16, and now 5 years later it is still a fun colourful whirlwind of a movie. I love it and is totally left field from other films in the MCU at the time. Here we have a space story that has a ragtag ensemble team that barely anyone except really deep fans have heard about. That is feat of only a good director can take and was James Gunn, despite his previous flaws, did pull off. I really did like this.
What I loke this is that this movie did not take itself serious. It did not make the usual feeling of a huge obligation to save the universe but took a more realistic take on doing the heroing thing. By being “one of the idiots who live” in the galaxy to save it is more of a reason to do it to bunch of basically tieves and killers. It is also the first time we do see a more anti-hero characters as all of this heroes do have serious crimes on their roster.
What i did not like about the film is that they could have developed the relationships in the film a little more. I thought that Groot and Rocket relationship was good but other than that the relationships could use a little more depth, but that may be just me spoilt on TV shows and time.
